Nursery

Nurseries and 4-yr-old Pre-K classes

Redeemer is blessed to have an infant and toddler nursery, a nursery for 2 & 3 year olds, and a 4-yr-old PreK class. Nurseries are open every Sunday during the 9 and 11 AM masses, as well as the 1PM Mass in Spanish.

The 4-yr-old PreK class is open during the 9 AM service, as well as the 1PM Spanish service, throughout the academic year.

While there is professional staff in both nurseries, they depend on a great deal of volunteer help. The 4-yr-old PreK class has professional staff, assisted by trained volunteers.

Beepers are available to parents to keep contact with little ones. Redeemer’s nurseries are specifically “well baby” spaces.

All staff and volunteers who work with children and youth at Redeemer have been screened, and have completed “Safeguarding God’s Children” training.

Location

The Nursery and PreK class are located in the Bell Tower Wing, just beside the Bell Tower.

Nursery Policies

In order to make sure that our nursery is a happy, safe, and fun environment, we have established the following guidelines:

  • All children must be registered. Our simple registration form provides us with important contact and medical information on each child. You can register online, or fill out the form when you drop off your child.
  • For the health of all children, staff, and volunteers, all must be fever and symptom-free for twenty-four hours following an illness.
  • All children must be signed in each time they are dropped off.
  • A parent must take a silent buzzer so that Nursery staff have a way of alerting you that your child requires your attention. This buzzer is returned when you come to pick-up your child.
  • Parents may not leave the church property while your child is in the nursery.
  • Many times, young children may tend to cry when they are dropped off in the nursery. Some separation anxiety is normal for young children, and they are usually easily distracted soon after they arrive. In some cases, children continue to cry. If your child cannot be consoled within a reasonable amount of time, you may be notified by the nursery staff.

If you have any questions about the Redeemer Nursery, please contact Malacy Wilson, malacy@gmail.com, Nursery Committee Chair.
