“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” – Hebrews 13:16
Stewardship is primarily about living, telling, sharing, and providing. When you give to Church of the Redeemer, you are:
- Living and telling the Good News of God revealed in Jesus Christ
- Sharing the material resources God has entrusted you to use for the building up of His Body, the Church.
- Providing for future generations, sharing in the life, worship, and responsible stewardship of the parish and of its mission.
Christian stewardship, moreover, is the grateful and responsible use of God’s gifts in the light of God’s purposes as revealed in Jesus Christ. Christian stewards, empowered by the Holy Spirit, commit themselves to conscious, purposeful decisions.
The Church of the Redeemer is committed to Christian stewardship in fulfillment of our mission: “to build up the Body of Christ by Word and Sacrament, equipping the people of God for the work of ministry, that Jesus Christ may be known, loved, worshipped, and obeyed in our homes and parish, community and diocese, and throughout the world.”
The Standing Stewardship Council is appointed by the Rector and oversees the ministry of stewardship. 2014 members of the Stewardship Council are:
- Pat Mudgett, Chair
- Dora Thomas
- Brigham Clegg
- Todd Morton
