Youth Choirs
The Church of the Redeemer has four choirs for young people. Through these choirs we teach liturgy skills as well as music.
Canterbury Choir is for young people ages 11 through high school. This choir prepares music in the Anglican tradition for the 9 am liturgy on Sundays and occasionally for the 11 am liturgy and Evensong as well. Membership is based on an audition with the Organist-Choirmaster. The choir rehearses on Monday afternoons each week from 5 - 6:00 pm.
Westminster Choir is for girls, grades 2-5. The choir rehearses during LOGOS on Wednesdays from 4:30 - 5:15 pm and sings at the 9 am liturgy on Sundays.
Redeemer Knights is for boys, grades 2-5. The choir rehearses during LOGOS on Wednesdays from 4:30 - 5:15 pm and sings at the 9 am liturgy on Sundays.
Cherubim Choir is our pre-school music program. They meet during LOGOS from 4:30 - 5:15 pm. This program is for children ages 4 through first grade. This choir opens the window of musical opportunity for young children and exposes them to new sounds, rhythms, and tunes. Cherubim is not performance oriented; they sing once a year at the afternoon Christmas Eve service.
If your child would like to be in a choir, contact our Organist-Choirmaster, Ann Stephenson-Moe.
