Location, Directions, and Where to Park

Church of the Redeemer is located at 222 S Palm Ave in downtown Sarasota, Florida, along the Sarasota Bayfront, at the intersection of S Palm Ave and Ringling Blvd.

We have plenty of parking, and we even have complimentary valet parking on Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Look for the valet stand on South Palm Avenue at the covered entrance to Gillespie Hall. The parish owns a 110-space parking lot on the corner of Ringling Boulevard and S Palm Avenue, just across from the church, and it is available on Saturdays and Sundays. Look for the “Redeemer Church Parking” signs. There is also plenty of public parking on the streets surrounding the church, including Palm Avenue, McAnsh Square, and Gulfstream Avenue.

What can I expect?

How long is a service at Church of the Redeemer?

In total, a Church of the Redeemer mass lasts just over an hour.

What is the culture like at Church of the Redeemer?

Weekend masses at Redeemer are exciting, filled with prayer and praise, and you will be welcomed as our guest.

What about my children?

Children are always welcome at all services at Redeemer!

Children’s Chapel is held on Sundays during the 9 a.m. mass. Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade leave for the Gillespie Hall chapel after the reading of the Gospel and return following the Peace. Children’s Chapel includes a retelling of the Gospel, an age-appropriate homily, the Creed, Prayers of the People, Confession, Absolution, and the Peace. Children return to their families after the Peace.

Sunday School: Sunday School classes, essential as families and the church partner to foster faith that sticks, take place throughout the academic year for all children, age 4 through high school, from 10:10 to 10:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Classes meet on the second floor of the Robinson Center. Classes are also offered during the 1 p.m. Spanish mass.

Redeemer Kids Bags for children are available in the narthex. Please help yourself, and take any artwork created home with you. Please hang the bag back in the narthex at the end of the mass where all are replenished weekly.

Nursery: Redeemer is blessed to have nursery care for infants through those children not yet four. Nurseries are open every Sunday during the 9 and 11 a.m. masses and are specifically “well baby” spaces. Beepers are available to parents to keep contact with their little ones. During the 9 a.m. mass, Sunday School teachers visit to tell stories of the great heroes of the Bible. All staff and volunteers who work with children and youth at Redeemer have been screened and have completed “Safeguarding God’s Children” training.
