Our Nurseries
Redeemer’s nurseries are designed for children six-weeks through those who have not yet reached age four years.
Redeemer is blessed to have an Infant and Toddler nursery, as well a nursery for “Confident Walkers and Up.” Nurseries are open every Sunday during the 9 and 11 a.m. masses.
To register your child for the Redeemer Nurseries, please print the linked form, complete it, and bring it with you on your first visit to the nursery. A part of the registration form is the Parent Covenant.
Beepers are available to parents to keep contact with little ones.
Redeemer’s nurseries are specifically “well baby” spaces.
A Mother’s Lounge is provided as a private spot for nursing, directly across from our Nursery Suite.
Volunteer Sunday School teachers share a Bible story each Sunday with children in the Confident Walkers nursery.
Every child in both nurseries receives a blessing by a member of Redeemer’s clergy on Sunday mornings.
Snacks are provided, and are carefully selected so that none contain any of the top 8 food allergens. They are provided to all children at both the 9 and 11 a.m. masses.
To protect our little ones with allergies, we ask that no outside snacks are brought into the nurseries.

While there is professional staff in both nurseries, they depend on a great deal of volunteer help as Sunday School Bible Story readers.
All staff and volunteers who work with children and youth at Redeemer have been screened, and have completed “Safeguarding God’s Children” training
The Nurseries are located on the 2nd floor of the Robinson Center.

Keeping Our Children happy and Safe
Nursery Policies
Welcome to Redeemer’s Nurseries!
When you leave your little one at his or her Nursery door after you sign in, our wonderful trained, professional staff will make the morning special.
We staff two Nurseries during the Sunday morning 9 and 11 a.m. masses, and on Holy Days throughout the year:
- Our “Little Lambs” nursery is for our Infants and Toddlers.
- Our “Tiny Tigers” is for Confident Walkers who have not reached their fourth birthday.
Each are staffed with Caregivers who are professionally trained in the field of childcare, working with Sarasota Memorial Hospital Childcare, St. Marks’s Episcopal Preschool, etc, and have completed Safeguarding God’s Children training. Each has been thoroughly background checked.
Sunday School time takes place in the “Tiny Tigers” nursery during the 9 a.m. mass, and follows the Sunday School calendar (academic year). It begins Sundays 10 a.m Taught by Sunday School volunteer teachers, this is a quick time with focus on The Word as presented in the Children’s Bible. This “Bible Story Time” is typically 5 minutes. Parents are asked to wait in the hall during this time, if possible.
A Mother’s Lounge is provided as a private spot for nursing, directly across from our Nursery Suite.
Each child in our Nurseries is blessed by clergy every Sunday during the 9 a..m. mass.
In order to make sure that our nursery is a happy, safe, and fun environment, we have established the Parent Covenant:
- I promise to pray for the children, families, staff, and volunteers who are part of the Redeemer Nurseries. I promise that if I have any questions, suggestions, or concerns about my child’s Nursery stay, I will not discuss them with our Nursery personnel or other parents, but will contact Malacy Wilson, malacy@gmail.com.
- I promise to honor the age parameters established by our Nurseries of six-weeks to under 4 years.
- I promise that my child will be signed in and out each time they are in theNursery.
- I promise that my child will arrive in our nurseries well, that they have been fever and symptom-free for twenty-four hours following an illness before bringing him or her to the Nursery.
- I promise that my child arrives in the Nursery well-fed and used the restroom/had a diaper change. An extra set of clothing, labeled with your little one’s name, would be helpful.
- I promise that, in order to minimize germs, I will drop-off and pick-up at the Nursery gate, not inside the nursery suite.
- I promise to provide a means of communicating with me – either cell # or taking a beeper.upon arrival so that we can reach you immediately if your little one is not consolable, shows any sign of illness, or suffers an injury.
- I promise to honor pick-up times. If I attend the 9 a.m. mass, I will pick-up time my child at 10:40 a.m. If I attend the 11 a.m. mass, I will pick up my child immediately after the service. I promise to remain on campus while my child is in Redeemer’s Nursery.
- I promise not to bring in outside snacks into the Nurseries to protect our little ones with food allergies. Snacks are provided, and are carefully selected so that none contain any of the top 8 food allergens. They are provided to all children at both the 9 and 11 a.m. masses.
