Every man at Redeemer is a member of Men of Redeemer (MOR). We want every man to feel welcome to join us and get involved, whether that is meeting men of faith at our annual Golf Tournament or Steak Night, serving our church and community, enjoying a BBQ together or taking an adventure trip to the Holy Land or St. Paul’s Greece with us. MOR needs men like you at Redeemer, and we welcome you to take your place!

Men of Redeemer provides time, talent, and treasure to support multiple ministries and outreach programs:
-Alta Vista Back-to-School Bash: Providing financial support and manpower for underserved children with back-to-school needs at annual event)
-Disaster relief funding for families and individuals in need
-Behold The Man – Holy Pilgrimages to Holy Places (Holy Land & St. Paul’s Greece): Financial donation for Jeff Kern Scholarship to send men and priests on holy pilgrimages
-Downtown community Thanksgiving luncheon: Celebrating 25 years of support in 2025 (serving families and individuals as annual event co-sponsor and financial supporter). -Stations of the Cross Main Street Pilgrimage (annual event sponsor and financial supporter to celebrate Good Friday in our community)
-Annual community outreach service projects, such as the Dominican Republic construction outreach trips, Habitat for Humanity projects, service at Resurrection House (selected by Leadership Team to contribute financial support and service days)
-Men’s programming and outreach (events include Men’s Steak Night, guest speakers, topical programming for men including family, work, adventure, and spiritual areas of life, small groups, Bible studies, Christ Led Communities Study Program (CLC), Annual Redeemer Golf Tournament, men’s quarterly events & BBQ, ushering, mentoring and supporting other ministries and events at Redeemer)

Annual Steak Night Event
Steak Night, which celebrated its 27th year in 2025, is the signature event for Men of Redeemer. Held in October or November with catering by Morton’s Gourmet Market, this men’s fellowship event always includes an inspirational speaker and a steak with all the fixins’ plus a Klondike Bar, a Redeemer tradition! Some of the men who have shared their faith message at our Annual Steak Night include NFL head coach Tony Dungy; professional baseball player and two-time World Series champion Darryl Strawberry; high wire legend and author Nik Wallenda; Super Bowl and National College Football Champion Tim Johnson; and Episcopal Diocese of Southwest Florida Bishop Doug Scharf. Annual Redeemer Golf Tournament Fundraiser
Men of Redeemer’s Golf Tournament, held next on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 8 a.m. at Palm Aire Country Club, is the only fundraising event for Men of Redeemer. The Golf Tournament is a Redeemer tradition that attracts men and women who want to come out and play golf but also help support the many programs and outreach opportunities MOR produces and contributes to every year. Henry Paul and Bill Brush have led this fun event for many years. Whether you are a golfer or a duffer, you are guaranteed a great time with lunch, laughs, prizes, and a chance to win the Jeff Kern Cup.
