The Rev. Mason Waldhauser
Associate Rector for Adult Formation
The Rev. Mason Waldhauser began his ministry at Church of the Redeemer as Associate Rector for Adult Formation in August 2025.
He grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, in a Christian household and sensed a call to ministry from an early age. His family attended Baptist churches in Maryland and North Carolina before discovering the Anglican tradition shortly before he left for college. He attended Eastern University in St. Davids, Pennsylvania, where he majored in Philosophy and studied in the Great Books program. During his junior year, he studied abroad at Christ Church, Oxford, where he was shaped by Anglo-Catholic spirituality through a residential internship at Pusey House.
He returned to the United States discerning a call to the priesthood and enrolled at Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin. There he served as a sacristan and earned his Master of Divinity, graduating with honors in 2020. Since ordination, Fr. Mason has served as curate at parishes in Denver, Colorado, and Vero Beach, Florida, and most recently as rector of a parish in Inverness, Florida.
Fr. Mason is passionate about teaching Scripture and theology in ways that connect to daily life. He feels especially called to help Episcopalians hold together ritual and relationship — remaining rooted in the catholic tradition while growing in a personal relationship with God.
In his free time, he enjoys going to the beach, traveling, and playing golf (though ministry hasn’t been good for his handicap).
