Redeemer’s Great Music Series is pleased to present The Chamber Orchestra of Sarasota in concert, 10 December, 7:30 PM, in the nave.
The Chamber Orchestra of Sarasota provides opportunities for audience and performers to experience the unique repertoire and aesthetics of a chamber orchestra by employing the finest musicians in the Sarasota area, performing in small and intimate venues, and featuring a broad repertoire.
This seasonal concert features classical and popular selections with music by Copland, Scarlatti, Haydn, and Wagner, performed along with favorites such as Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas.”
A second concert will be presented 11 February, 7:30 PM, entitled “British Night,” and featuring Carmen Bannon, flute, and Nicholas Arbolino, oboe. The concert features masterpieces by British composers, and music inspired by the works of William Shakespeare.
